Express Image

Hebrews. 1:1   God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Colossians 1:15   Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 2Corinthians 4:4   In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Jesus Christ is the express image of God. God manifested Himself in the flesh, and when He did, the world for the first time could look upon the image of God. God is a Spirit and as such does not have flesh and blood. A spirit is not t

Different Positions of Prayer in the Bible

Image
1. Sitting – I Chronicles 17: 16-27, Acts 2 - Denotes rest 2. Kneeling – I Kings 8:54, Ezra 9:5, Luke 22:41, Acts 9:40 - Denotes surrender 3. Bowing – Exodus 34:8, Psalm 72:11, Nehemiah 8:6 - Displays honor and humility 4. Standing – Nehemiah 9:5, Mark 11:25, Luke 18:13 In a position of respect and honor – ready to receive instructions 5. Uplifted hands – 2 Chronicles 6:12, 13, I Timothy 2:8 Acknowledges a place of surrender, no weapons, no hidden agenda, a position of praise 6. Walking – 2 Kings 4:35 A warring position. It is hard to sit and pray when you are at war. Walking begins to stir up your prayer intensity. 7. Prostrate – Joshua 7:6, Ezra 10:1, Matthew 26:39, Mark 14:35 Shows awe of the holiness of God – a position of crying out to God – a position of repentance THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG WAY, THE MAIN THING IS TO PRAY ! Having trouble focusing? Switch positions .

JESUS: From "A" to "Z"

Image
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." (Revelation 22:13) This is just a reminder that Jesus can do anything! JESUS is the name above all names (Acts 4:12) . He has all power in Heaven and in Earth (Matthew 28:18) . What is your particular need(s) today? You must go to Him in prayer. Matthew 7:7 says, "Ask, and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you." Pray and demonstrate in the name of Jesus (Colossians 3:17) . Jesus is all that we need. He can reveal Himself to you in any way. Using a relating/linking occupational perception, I want to share this inspired writing, including titles that are scripturally who Jesus is. It is entitled JESUS : From " A " to " Z !" To the A RCHITECT, He is the "Chief Cornerstone" To the B AKER, He is the "Living Bread" To the C ARPENTER, He is the "Door" To the D OCTOR, He is the "Great

There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ JESUS , who gave himself as a ransom for all people. (1 Timothy 2:5-6) ...Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) No mary No buddha No allah No saints can save us. Only JESUS Christ does and He is always enough.

A Love Story

Image
The Bible is the greatest love story ever written. It is the story of God's love for all mankind - especially you. it is not a book of verses such as you would find on greeting cards; it is a revelation. It must be read, digested, studied, questioned and revered from beginning to end. Don't divide it into short devotional paragraphs and think you can understand its message. Come to its pages with common sense, believe that every book is about something and read and reread until you find out what that book is about.      Since the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit, you need the Holy Spirit's power to help you understand it, to interpret it. That is one of the function of the Holy Spirit - to help you understand the Bible. Therefore, before you begin any serious study of the Bible , ask the Holy Spirit to fill you. Only as He interprets it to you will it make any sense. Otherwise it will be nothing more than great literature, interesting history or a jumble of words and
